What we collect

When you sign in we receive your email address and display name from our identity provider (signin.ounie.com). When you build a brief we record what you asked for — the topic, the window, any domain filters, any free-text steer, and which of your brains you chose as the ranking lens — along with the brief produced: its items, quotes, and the numbered table of sources it cited.

What we don't collect

We don't track you across the web. There are no third-party analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, no session replay. We don't sell, share, or resell anything you generate, and nothing you build trains a model.

Because Briefing Desk has no schedules or subscriptions, we also hold no delivery addresses, no notification preferences, no recipient lists and no opt-out list — there is nothing here that could send you anything.

Where data lives

Application data (briefs, their items and sources, credit ledger entries) is stored in a single Neon Postgres database hosted in the US. Your brain content itself stays on ounie.com — Briefing Desk reads it at build time through Ounie's API as you, uses it only as the ranking lens, and never keeps a copy.

The pages we fetch

To build a brief we search and read public web pages published inside the window you asked for, through a search provider. We store the URL, title, publication date and the excerpt we cited for each page that made it into your brief — that is what makes a citation checkable. We do not archive whole pages.

Briefs bought without an account

A brief paid for over the keyless x402 rail is stored with no owner attached: there is no account to attach it to and we collect no identity from the payer beyond what the payment itself carries on chain.

Payments

Credit purchases happen on ounie.com, where Stripe processes them. This product never sees your card number; it only reads and debits your Ounie credit wallet. Stripe's privacy policy lives at stripe.com/privacy.

Deletion

To delete your account or download your data, open a privacy ticket. We respond within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30.
